To the end of my doctoral studies, I was a procrastinator. A summary for a conference would take me a week, a literary review, a month. I loved writing, but could not focus on when I had a deadline to meet.But my doctoral thesis had to be different, I had to be different, I told me nine years. I had the literary exam, two papers that accepted for the publication, some reports and most numbers, tables and attachments that would go into my thesis. I started organizing all materials that I had and the missing bits completed.
Creating a outline for my doctoral scalding was easy because I had for three years to think about what it would enclose. After I received the outline approved by my supervisor, I was ready to start writing.
My two peer-reviewed papers became the heart of my thesis. The writing of these two chapters based on my publications was relatively simple, and there was a moment.
The third core chapter was harder to write than the two. I had to turn my exploration into a coherent whole instead of just turning a paper into a chapter.
I started by creating a detailed chapter design. Then, I copied, copied and brought me under each ball point, which I wanted to use all materials, tables, cards. Another thing I did while I wrote my discussion, the chapter reviewed my e-mails only after lunch. It is unbelievable how much progress I did when I did not allow myself to be distracted by new e-mail notifications.
By completing these two parts of my thesis, I was just as soon as I got everything else.
Revision was much more tedious than I had introduced myself. I do not remember how many revision rounds did, but they were pretty much a couple.
At this point, I began to have doubts; I could almost imagine that I did not lack my doctoral work examination. But after the processing stage, my trust was back. It was a decent thesis, I thought, though it was far whole. But it had to be good enough - I had no more time.
This stage was pretty pleasant, though not as pleasant as the writing of the confirmations. I had fixed the most stylish bug during the machining stage, so correction reading was relatively easy. But as a self-safe reading is not foolproof, some mistakes stay in my thesis forever stay.
I had used MS Word and had many figures and tables, so the assembly of the document together was a trouble. My laptop crashes again and again due to the size of the file, and working with styles in Word was a nightmare. I used a reference manager, chose a different word processor than the word, had my thesis of at least another person correction system and socialized in these three months instead of living in automatic mode.
