Tips for reducing paper use in college

These tips can be used to all your classes, at your workplace, at home, and throughout life, college is just a starting point for this company. Feel free to read only the bold items or check the detailed lists for examples and additional tips.

Do not ask the question: "Why are you doing so much paper?" Instead, ask: "What can I do to reduce my paper consumption here?"

The driving forces should first be reduced and reused what they have already used. Huge bonus - saving saving also save money in the long run!

1. Do not print unless you have to

• If your teacher publishes online a reading, read it online (if the screen hurts your eyes, read it in small chunks or put it on an e-reader)
• only the final designs of essays print, especially long
• If you find a typo in a printed attachment or something, just print the page you edit - the others are still perfectly usable
• if someone else offers to print them something, z. For example, a webpage or a document, ask them to send them a link or copy of them, instead

2. If you need to print, do it conservative (will save you money at the printing station!)

5. Electronic storage for documents, receipts, contacts, etc. use.

• Make sure you keep backups! An easy way to do this is simply an e-mail to yourself and have folders for receipts, essays, etc.

6. Remove the junk mail

• Many tutorials online can help you like this. Just looking for "How to stop junk mail"

7. Subscribe to digital magazines instead of paper

8. If your paper is no longer reusable, always prepare

• a small piece of paper is only a recyclable as a full sheet
• delete it into a paper tray or recycle it yourself in homemade paper or other products

9. If you can not avoid buying paper, look for some who have been made with recycled materials

• these days this is easy to find in staples or other office supply stores
• This is especially important with toilet paper - as you need to buy toilet paper, make sure it will be made of recycled material

10. Use cloth napkins and reusable plates (saves you money in the kitchen)

• reusable napkins can be expensive, but do not have to be - they always need one or two for themselves. Make your own by cutting old T-shirts. Let them be - or personalize.
• Second stores are fantastic for plates, bowls, cups, mugs, etc. - You are cheap, reusable, and you will receive bonus sustainability points for buying the second Han D

• most people have one or two bandana, which are located by an old costume or event - these are perfect
• If you have no legging, you can be found for less than a dollar in some shops

12 . bu y food in reusable containers instead of cardboard boxes (saves you money on food!)
